Science
Intent
Our science curriculum aims to nurture a love of Science and develop curiosity about the world around us. Throughout each unit, we aim to provide a range of learning opportunities that will enable the children to develop both their scientific understanding and their mastery of nature, processes and a method of science.
Implementation
All teachers have access to the science scheme of work within Google Drive which outlines the learning objectives to be covered in each topic as well as key scientific vocabulary. Each topic shows previous learning and learning that will progress throughout the school year on year. This is also summarised on the whole-school yearly progression document for science.
Impact
Our science curriculum is high quality, well thought out and demonstrates progression. The children will be assessed termly allowing teachers to identify pupils who exceed expectations and pupils who need extra support or pre-teaching.
We measure impact through:
